Today Royal Enfield has launched the Thunderbird 350X and 500X in India. The price of the Thunderbird 350X is Rs. 1.56 Lakh and for the Thunderbird 500X is 1.98 lakh. Both the bikes are based on plateform of regular versions of the Thunderbird but gets a bunch of cosmetic updates to target young genration.

 

Both the bike The thunderbird 350X and the thunderbird 500X gets similar updates including new 9-spoke alloy wheels, a single piece seat instead of the earlier split seats, shorter handlebars, tubeless tyres, blacked out fork covers and a blacked out headlamp housing.

 

The company also offers four new colours for the Thunderbird 350X and the Thunderbird 500X which are Drifter Blue, Getaway Orange, Roving Red and Whimsical White. The Thunderbird X comes with LED daytime running lamp integrated into the headlamp and an LED tail lamp. The Thunderbird X powered by same engine as older version of Thunderbird. Both the bikes also carrrying the same suspension and brakes.

The Thunderbird 350X is powered by a 346 cc single-cylinder engine which is air-cooled and generates max power of 19.8 bhp at 5250 rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm at 4000 rpm and also mated with a five-speed gearbox. The Thunderbird 350X is powered by 499 cc single-cylinder engine which generates a max power of 27.2 bhp at 5250 rpm and a peak torque of 41.3 Nm at 4000 rpm and mated with a 5-speed gearbox.
