TVS NTorq 125 Scooter Launched In India At Rs. 58,750

TVS Motor Company has launched its new flagship scooter in India. This new scooter is TVS NTorq 125 based on NTorq concept scooter. It is priced at 58,790 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

TVS claims that the scooter is for younger audience in the age group of 18-24. It is technologically sound, stylish, and exciting.

The new TVS NTorq is powered by a new CVTi-REVV 124.79 cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC engine which generates max power of 9.3 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.5 Nm. Company says that the additional valve enhance the performance of the engine which offers excellent acceleration, with a top-speed of 95 kmph. The engine of new TVS NTorq is mated with an automatic transmission. It takes 9 seconds for the 0-60 Kph sprint. There is also an engine kill switch, petal disc brake for the front wheel and more.

It has five liter fuel tank with an external fuel filler cap as a key convenience feature.  It has ground clearance of 155 mm and operates on 12 inch tyres. There are telescopic front forks and a monoshock, gas filled shock absorber as suspension.

It come with a new interesting feature called SmartXonnect. It is a Bluetooth-enabled connected technology that can be accessed by the NTorq mobile application available for android phones. It will show incoming and outgoing call alerts, SMS alert and helmet notification on the fully digital speedometer of the TVS NTORQ 125. It features navigation assistance, top speed recorder, show phone’s battery level and give alerts for service reminders, etc on the TVS NTORQ 125. Users can also put their phone on DND mode, which automatically sends people an SMS that the user is driving.

The scooter has stylish headlamp, LED taillamp, disc brake, and a new engine. It comes in four colour options including Red, Green, White and Yellow with dual tone treatment and TVS Racing badging. NTorq weighs 116 kilograms.

Other notable features including USB mobile charging outlet under the seat, pass button for the headlamp and a 22 Liter underseat storage that can accommodate a full face helmet. It also gets daytime running LEDs.

The new TVS NTorq 125 all compete with Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access a125. Upcoming Aprilia 125 is also expected to be launched in the same segment.
