Honda CR-V 2018 Launched In India At Starting Price of Rs. 28.15 Lakh

The Honda has launched the fifth generation Honda CR-V in India. The new Honda CR-V has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 28.15 lakh and goes upto 32.75 lakh for the fully loaded top-spec diesel variant. First time 7-seater CR-V gets a diesel engine option in India. The new-gen CR-V gets new design and styling. The new Honda CR-V comes with a new grill along with sharp LED headlamps and decorated with pieces of chrome all across. Angular tail lamps along with a new bumper is fitted with a new bumper.

The Honda CR-V is powered by an all-new 1.6-litre diesel engine which generates max power of 118 bhp at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 300 Nm at 2,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a new 9-speed automatic transmission. Another option is petrol which is powered by a 2.0-litre engine which generates max power of 151 bhp at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 189 Nm at 4,300 rpm. This version is mated to a CVT gearbox. The all wheel drive is available for diesel engine model while the petrol version comes only with front wheel drive.

The new CR-V is bigger than previous model. The length of the SUV has increased by 47 mm while the wheelbase too gets an increase of 40 mm. Because of the increase in size it gets more space in the middle row. Petrol engine version comes with 5 seater option while the 7 seater option will be available only in diesel engine.

The new-generation CRV comes with a bunch of new features including the new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which offers smartphone integration in the form of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Inside the cabin of the CR-V features a new layout and looks smart as well with faux wood inlays, giving it a premium touch.

The new Honda CR-V will compete with the rivals like  Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan.
