Finally the new Honda Amaze 2018 has been launched in India. The new Honda Amaze has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 5.60 lakh for base variant which goes up to Rs. 9 lakh for top variant. The new Amaze has been launched in four variants \u2013 E, S, V and VX. All variants comes with ABS, rear parking sensors, dual front airbags and Isofix child-seat mounts as standard.<\/p>\n

The new compact sedan is powered by 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine which generates max power of 89bhp and a peak torque of 110 Nm and mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 7-step CVT automatic while 1.5-litre turbocharged engine generates max power of 99 bhp and a peak torque of 200 Nm. The diesel engine now gets the option of a CVT automatic. The power and torque for diesel-CVT has been reduced by 20hp and 40Nm, taking total output to 80hp and 160Nm of torque. ARAI rated fuel efficiencies for the variants are 19.5kpl for the petrol-manual, 19.0kpl for the petrol-automatic, 27.8kpl for the diesel-manual and 23.8kpl for the diesel-automatic.<\/p>\n

The looks of new Honda Amaze borrows from City and the Accord. The car is now equipped with a big grille.The face is much similar to the Honda city. It also gets Diamond cut alloy wheels like the one on the City.<\/p>\n

The new compact sedan is a bit lighter than the previous. It is now weighs between 905kg and 1,039kg. The dimensions of new Amaze are 5mm longer (at 3,995mm), 15mm wider (at 1,695mm) and has a wheelbase that is 65mm longer which are bigger than the previous model. Boot space has also increased by 20 litres and now it is 420 litres.<\/p>\n

The new Amaze comes with a 7.0-inch infotainment system with capacitive touchscreen, a reverse camera, cruise control, GPS with turn-by-turn navigation, steering-mounted voice controls Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.<\/p>\n

The mid-spec S and V variant also get the CVT option. These variants also gets paddleshifters along with kit like LED daytime-running lamps, front fog lamps, automatic climate control, 15-inch alloy wheels, keyless go with push-button start, and a rear defogger.<\/p>\n
