Since the launch in 2014, the company has sold a total 234,000 units.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1279\" src=\"https:\/\/wheelyard.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/maruti-ciaz.jpg\" alt=\"CIaz Face Lift\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wheelyard.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/maruti-ciaz.jpg 600w, https:\/\/wheelyard.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/maruti-ciaz-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If we look at the market share, Ciaz hols 28.8 percent market share in the premium sedan segment where it is competing against Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Vento, and Skoda Rapid.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the success of new Ciaz, Maruti Suzuki &#8211; Senior Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, R S Kalsi said &#8220;We are delighted with the response to the new Ciaz. Over 10,000 customers have booked the New Ciaz in the first month of its launch. The complete package of unmatched performance, bold looks, elite interiors, convenience of space and host of safety features clearly pulls the new Ciaz ahead of competition. Today, Ciaz is one of the most successful premium sedans in India. With a sale of over 24,000 units in the first half of this fiscal, Ciaz has taken the pole position in the A3+ segment this year so far. We are thankful to customers for their confidence and choice that reinforces our commitment to offer premium products.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The company refreshed the Ciaz in late August when it <a href=\"https:\/\/wheelyard.com\/blog\/2018\/08\/2018-maruti-suzuki-ciaz-facelift-launched-starting-price-rs-8-19-lakh-1166\/\">launched 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift<\/a> starting at Rs 8.19 lakh. The big update was the new 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine. This new engine offers 13 percent more power and 6 percent more torque than the older 1.4-litre engine.\u00a0While the car was already popular among buyers, facelift model boosted the momentum. It registered over 10,000 bookings in the first month since the.<\/p>\n<p>After the launch of Facelift, September was the first full month of the sale. So, it was expected to be good.
