This article tells you the easiest way to apply for a driving license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many categories in which you can apply for a licence-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>MC 50CC (Motorcycle 50cc)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 motorcycles with gears and 50cc engine.<\/li><li><strong>MC EX50CC (Motorcycle more than 50cc)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 motorcycles, light motor vehicle, and cars.<\/li><li><strong>Motorcycles\/Scooters<\/strong>&nbsp;of any engine capacity, with or without gears with an engine capacity of 50cc or more (old category).<\/li><li><strong>MC Without Gear or M\/CYCL.WOG (Motorcycle Without Gear)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 motorcycles, scooters without gears, all motorcycle<\/li><li><strong>MCWG or MC With Gear or M\/CYCL.WG (Motorcycle With Gear)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 all motorcycles, engine capacity more than 175cc<\/li><li><strong>LMV-NT (Light Motor Vehicle\u2014Non-Transport)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 for personal use only<\/li><li><strong>LMV-INVCRG-NT (Light Motor Vehicle\u2014Invalid Carriage-Non Transport)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 for personal use by physically handicapped persons only<\/li><li><strong>LMV-TR (Light Motor Vehicle\u2014Transport)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 for commercial transportation including light goods carrier.<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Driving_licence_in_India#cite_note-Driving_license_\/_India_Drive_Safe-6\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">[6]<\/a><\/li><li>&#8216;<strong><em>LMV (Light Motor Vehicle)&#8217;<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 including cars, jeeps, taxis, delivery vans. (16th Apr 2018 GOI Ministry of Road Tran &amp; Highways No. RT-11021\/44\/2017-MVL)<\/li><li><strong>LDRXCV (Loader, Excavator, Hydraulic Equipment)<\/strong>&#8212; for Commercial application of all hydraulic heavy equipment.<\/li><li><strong>HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle)<\/strong>&nbsp;-a person holding an LMV driving licence can only apply for a heavy licence.<\/li><li><strong>HPMV (Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle)<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>HTV&nbsp;<\/strong>Heavy Transport Vehicle<strong>&nbsp;(Heavy Goods Motor Vehicle, Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle)<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>TRANS<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>(Heavy Goods Motor Vehicle, Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle) including trailers can also drive it.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of these categories, the three most common categories are-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>LMV<\/strong>-Light Motor Vehicle ( Minimum Age-18 years)<\/li><li><strong>MC <\/strong>without gear ( Minimum Age -16 years)<\/li><li><strong>LDRXCV<\/strong>&#8211; Commercial Vehicle ( Minimum Age -20 years)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">There are two stages that you need to pass before getting a driving license.-<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&nbsp;1.Getting A learners Licence &#8211;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two ways to apply for a learners license-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Online<\/li><li>Offline<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online-<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply online, click on the following link-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sarathi.parivahan.gov.in\/sarathiservice\/sarathiHomePublic.do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/sarathi.parivahan.gov.in\/sarathiservice\/sarathiHomePublic.do<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Offline-<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;There are three stages for getting a learners license offline-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Verification of documents and forms to get your token.<\/li><li>2-hour First-Aid class.<\/li><li>Payment of learner licence fees.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>After you apply for the learner&#8217;s licence test(whether online or offline), you have to give Learner License Computer Based Test in your districts RTO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Now,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If you pass the test, you get your learners license.&nbsp;<\/li><li>If you fail the test, you can reappear for the test on the next day When you reappear for the test you will have to pay only the token fee (around \u20b950).
