Now after providing the subsidy to 1000 units, the government has stopped offering subsidies on electric cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kailash Gahlot, transport minister of Delhi, reportedly confirmed it and said that the initial subsidy has already provided the necessary push to electric vehicles in the state. He further said that people who can afford a vehicle of up Rs. 15 Lakh can also pay the additional cost no longer covered by subsidies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if the government has stopped offering Rs. 1.5 Lakh subsidy, Electric car buyers will still get a waiver on road tax and registration fee offered to all battery electric vehicles during the three-year course of the policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the new EV policy, electric cars had a cap on the number of vehicles eligible for subsidies offered by the Delhi Government. The policy has no such limit for Electric three-wheelers and two-wheelers.
