Kia India has launched the 2025 Carens Clavis EV, its first mass-market electric MPV in the country. The EV starts at \u20b917.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in three variants: HTK+, HTX, and HTX+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Clavis EV comes in two powertrain options: Standard Range and Extended Range. Here’s a look at the pricing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Standard Range gets a 42 kWh battery, while the Extended Range uses a bigger 51.4 kWh battery pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Carens Clavis EV is no slouch when it comes to range and performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It also supports 100 kW fast charging, which can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While the overall shape and design look similar to the petrol\/diesel version of the Clavis, the EV comes with EV-specific updates. There\u2019s a blanked-off grille, a light bar connecting the LED DRLs, and triangular LED headlights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The side profile remains mostly the same, with new aero-optimized alloy wheels and roof rails for a rugged touch. At the back, you get the same connected LED tail lamps and a tweaked rear bumper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Unlike the ICE Clavis, which comes in 6- and 7-seater options, the Clavis EV is only available as a 7-seater. On the inside, the dashboard remains unchanged \u2014 clean and modern, with a dual-screen layout and a two-spoke steering wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The missing transmission tunnel frees up space in the centre console for extra storage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kia has loaded the Carens Clavis EV with premium features: 12.3-inch infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital driver\u2019s display, Panoramic sunroof, Ventilated front seats, 8-speaker Bose sound system, Wireless phone charger, Powered driver\u2019s seat, Ambient lighting, and Vehicle-to-load (V2L) function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the safety front, the Clavis EV offers: 6 airbags (standard), ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, Electronic parking brake with auto hold, and Level-2 ADAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Kia Carens Clavis EV will rival the BYD e6, and can also be seen as an electric alternative to MPVs like the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Invicto.
