Finally Skoda has launched its much awaited Monte Carlo edition of Rapid in India. Price of Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo starts at Rs. 10.75 lakh. Monte Carlo edition comes with the new styling and few new features like new alloys wheels, stylish grille and boot-lid spoiler. \u00a0Monte Carlo edition already comes with the Citigo, Rapid and the Fabia globally but first time Skoda took this edition in India with \u00a0Skoda. Booking of Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo started early this month.
\nThe Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo can give a healthy competition to Honda City, the new Hyundai Verna and the new Maruti Ciaz S.<\/p>\n
At the launch event of the Monte Carlo,Ashutosh Dixit – Director, Sales, Service and Marketing, Skoda Auto India, said, and “The new Monte Carlo is an integral part of our model offensive strategy in India. The Monte Carlo offers a compelling combination of the brand’s emotional design, exquisite interiors, and host of convenience features, leading safety as well as intelligent connectivity features. The Monte Carlo is positioned at the top end of the segment and is targeted at the discerning customer who wants a premium experience.”<\/p>\n
The new Monte Carlo is powered by the 103 bhp 1.6-litre MPI petrol motor and the 108 bhp 1.5-litre TDI diesel engine. Petrol engine is mated with 6-speed tiptronic transmission.<\/p>\n
The new Monte Carlo comes with other cosmetic changes like headlamp inserts, stylish black treatment on the front grille, ORVMs, body accents, and the tail lamp cluster along with new dual tone 16-inch alloy wheels and the rear black grained diffuser enhances the car’s sporty character. The new Monte Carlo would be available in two dual color options Flash Red with black roof and Candy White with black roof.<\/p>\n
The cabin is decorated with 3-spoke super sports flat bottom steering wheel which is covered in black perforated leather. Red stiching can be seen over the dashboard and gearstick. To give it sporty feel the Monte Carlo is decorated with a sporty graphic instrument cluster and ribbed stainless steel pedals.<\/p>\n
The new Monte Carlo comes with the Safety features like dual airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, Parktonic rear parking sensors, central locking system with remote control, and hill hold assist. Monte Carlo also comes with cooled glove box, rain sensing wiper system, cruise control and more.<\/p>\n
