Tata Motors has finally launched the much awaited compact SUV Tata Nexon in India for the starting price of Rs 5.85 Lakhs. Prices will range from Rs 5.85 Lakhs for the base variant to Rs 9.45 L for top variant. Tata Nexon will be available in 5 variants with both petrol and diesel engine. Bookings for the Tata Nexon has already started across all Tata showrooms in the country for a token of Rs, 11,000.<\/p>\n

Unveiling the Tata NEXON, Mr. Guenter Butschek, CEO & MD, Tata Motors, said, “Our passenger vehicle market is dynamic. The fast-moving generation has clear preferences in terms of design and style. Catering to this discerning needs of our customers, we have consistently pushed the boundaries of automotive engineering by creating new categories of vehicles. The Tata Nexon is the result of our intent to break away from the conventional approach of segmentation in its discreet forms and fulfilling a larger set of milieus. Connecting Aspirations of our customers, with the Tata NEXON, we offer an unparalleled package of style, performance, and innovative features.”<\/p>\n

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Mayank Pareek, President- Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, “Our focus is to introduce products that not only enhance the brand but simultaneously align well with the rising aspirations of customer segments. As part of the aggressive turnaround strategy, we have renewed focus on filling in product gaps and tapping the white spaces that will emerge. Conceptualised as a lifestyle SUV for young progressive individuals, The NEXON is the culmination of this radical shift in thinking and will further expand Tata Motors\u2019 addressable market.”<\/p>\n

Engine:<\/h3>\n

Tata Nexon is powered by two powerful turbocharged engines, 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged Revotron petrol, and 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel respectively. 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged Revotron petrol engine generates a max power of 108 bhp and max torque of 170 Nm, on the other hand, the new 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine generates max power the same 108 bhp and max torque of 260 Nm. Tata Nexon will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. AMT gearbox would be introduced at a later stage.<\/p>\n

Exterior:<\/h3>\n

Tata Nexon looks a complete package while we discuss over design or interior. The Tata Nexon gives a feel of company’s versatile Impact design language. The Nexon comes with curvy proportions with a raked rear enhancing the sporty character of the SUV which is not common in SUVs. The front of Tata Nexon decorated with Tata\u2019s signature Humanity line on the honeycomb grille with piano black finish. headlamps are sharp with chrome elements and integrated D-cut LED units. It also comes with sloping roofline and roof-rails. Rear profile is highlited with conical shaped LED tail lights. It comes with large 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.<\/p>\n

Interior:<\/h3>\n

If we discuss cabin, we can say, the Nexon offers good quality interior. Tata Nexon comes with a floating HD display from Harman for infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with up to 8 speakers and more. Tata Nexon comes with a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for audio and telephony, contoured upholstery with fabric seat covers. Cabin of Tata Nexon also includes multiple cubby holes and cup holders, glove box with utility moulding, umbrella holder in the front door, a central console with front armrest and sliding tambour door, 60:40 split rear seats. You will get Dual airbags and ABS with EBD in all variants while parking sensors, rear parking camera and more are also offered in the higher variants. The Nexon also gets multi-drive mode – Eco, City, and Sport, manual or auto climate control, cooled glove box, rear air vents, height adjustable driver’s seat, and electrically adjustable ORVM.<\/p>\n
