Tata Motors has expanded its premium SUV lineup by launching Dark Editions of both the Tata Curvv and Curvv EV in India. These stylish, all-black variants build upon the existing top-end models with exclusive cosmetic enhancements inside and out. The ICE version starts at ₹16.49 lakh, while the Curvv EV Dark Edition starts at ₹22.24 lakh (ex-showroom). These special editions bring a new level of style and attitude to Tata’s already impressive SUV lineup.
Following the success of previous Dark Editions across the Tata range, the Curvv and Curvv EV now join the club with a bold all-black design language. These variants are based on the top trims of their respective models and add exclusive cosmetic touches that enhance the overall appeal without altering the core features.
The Tata Curvv Dark Edition makes a strong visual statement right from the first glance. Finished in a deep Carbon Black exterior paint, it exudes a stealthy and aggressive vibe. The familiar Tata logo has been darkened with dark chrome accents, and the skid plates have also been blacked out, giving the SUV a cohesive, meaner look. A subtle but classy “Dark” badge is placed on the front fender, letting you know this is no ordinary Curvv.
Step inside, and the cabin continues the same dark treatment. The upholstery is completely black, and Tata has added #DARK embossing on the headrests, staying consistent with the brand’s Dark Edition theme. Even the headliner is finished in black, offering a cocooned, premium feel.
Despite its cosmetic focus, the Curvv Dark Edition is packed with features. It shares all the equipment from the top-spec variant of the regular Curvv. This includes a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and a premium 9-speaker JBL sound system for a rich in-car audio experience. You also get ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and automatic climate control, making it a well-equipped SUV for everyday and long-distance driving.
On the safety front, Tata has ensured nothing is left behind. The Curvv Dark Edition offers six airbags as standard, a 360-degree surround camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front and rear parking sensors, and a full suite of Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). This includes tech like lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control, making it one of the most tech-loaded SUVs in its segment.
The Tata Curvv has three engine options in its powertrain, however, the Tata Curvv Dark Edition gets the TGDi turbo-petrol and diesel engine options only.

Not just the ICE version, Tata has also introduced the Curvv EV Dark Edition, which follows the same cosmetic formula but in a futuristic EV avatar. It is based on the top-end Empowered Plus A variant and comes at a premium of ₹25,000 over the regular model, priced at ₹22.24 lakh (ex-showroom).
Visually, the Curvv EV Dark Edition mirrors its petrol sibling with the Carbon Black exterior, dark alloy wheels, and the signature “Dark” badging on the fender. Inside, the dark theme continues with black leatherette upholstery, #DARK headrest embossing, and a rear window sunshade—a small but welcome addition that is not available on the standard variant.
Being the top-spec EV variant, it retains the same set of features as the regular model. You get the 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, the JBL 9-speaker sound system, ventilated seats, wireless charging, and automatic climate control. Additionally, it supports V2L (Vehicle to Load) functionality, allowing the EV to power external devices—handy for road trips and emergencies.
Safety is equally robust here, with six airbags, 360-degree camera, TPMS, and the same ADAS suite found in the ICE version, giving Curvv EV buyers peace of mind and confidence on the road.
