Hyundai has introduced a new Assured Buyback Program for the Creta Electric in India. The scheme aims to address one of the biggest concerns among EV buyers, resale value.

Under the program, customers purchasing the Hyundai Creta Electric can get a guaranteed buyback value of up to 60% of the vehicle’s price after three years or up to 45,000 km, whichever comes first.

Hyundai says the initiative is designed to provide more confidence to customers who are considering switching to an electric vehicle. Resale value remains one of the major factors affecting EV adoption, as buyers often worry about battery life, technology changes and future demand for used electric cars.

With the Assured Buyback Program, Hyundai aims to offer better financial security and a more predictable ownership experience for Creta Electric buyers.

The company has also recently introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option for the Creta Electric. With this plan, customers can purchase the electric SUV at a lower upfront cost of ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and pay a battery usage charge of ₹3.9 per km through a battery EMI model.

The BaaS option separates the battery cost from the vehicle purchase price, helping reduce the initial investment required to buy an electric car.

Hyundai Creta Electric Battery and Range Details

The Hyundai Creta Electric is available with two battery pack options:

• 42 kWh battery pack
• 51.4 kWh battery pack

The long-range variant offers a claimed range of up to 510 km on a single charge.

The 42 kWh version comes with a 133 BHP electric motor, while the larger battery variant gets a more powerful 169 BHP electric motor. The top-spec version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.

The electric SUV supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in around 39 minutes using a compatible fast charger.
