Mahindra has introduced a special edition of its BE 6 electric SUV, inspired by the Dark Knight. The new Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition has been launched at ₹27.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This is ₹89,000 more than the regular Pack Three variant. Bookings will start on August 23 for a token amount of ₹21,000, and deliveries will begin on September 20, which is International Batman Day. Only 300 units will be made.

This is the first time in the automotive industry that Mahindra has officially collaborated with Warner Bros and DC Comics for a special edition model.

The BE 6 Batman Edition gets a bold satin black paint job with gloss black claddings on the wheel arches and bumpers. A Batman-themed decal is placed on the front doors, and the SUV features multiple Batman logos across its body.

A gold-finished Batman emblem appears on the front fenders, wheel hubcaps, rear bumper, windows, and rear windshield. Even the suspension springs and brake callipers are painted gold, giving a striking contrast to the dark body. On the tailgate, there is a special ‘BE 6 X The Dark Knight’ badge to highlight its exclusivity.

The BE 6 Batman Edition continues the dark theme with a dual-tone black interior and gold accents. The driver’s seat has a gold halo-like surround, while the upholstery gets gold contrast stitching. The AC vents, rotary dial, and even the key fob have gold highlights.

The seats feature Dark Knight trilogy logos, and similar detailing can be found on the dashboard, interior door handles, and the boost button on the steering wheel. A limited-edition plaque with the unit number is placed on the centre console.

The panoramic glass roof has Dark Knight-themed ambient lighting. The puddle lamps project the Batman logo, and the instrument cluster displays a Batman-themed welcome animation. There is even a special Batman start-up sound.

The BE 6 Batman Edition is based on the top-spec Pack Three variant. It comes with a 79kWh battery, offering an ARAI-claimed range of 682km. Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor producing 286hp and 380Nm of torque.

Charging options include 7.2kW or 11kW AC chargers, which cost extra over the base price.

It is Mahindra’s first electric vehicle to get a full Dark Edition treatment and also the first-ever official Batman-themed car from the brand. With its limited 300-unit run, striking design, and unique features, it is likely to become a collector’s item for Batman fans and EV enthusiasts alike.
