After a long wait, finally, Mahindra has launched its next-gen That 2020 in India. We already have a lot of details but were waiting for the pricing information. The company unveiled Thar 2020 15 August confirming all features.

The new Mahindra That 2020 starts at ₹9.8 lakh, goes up to ₹12.95 lakh, all prices ex-showroom.

Mahindra Thar 2020 will be available in two series. The AX series is for affordable adventure while the LX series is focused on expensive lifestyle. Mahindra has also confirmed that it has started test-drive in 18 cities starting today and test-drive will be available in 100 more cities by October 10. Starting from 15 October test drives will be available pan-India.

That 2020 features a shell design to meet the global safety standard. It will be offered with dual front airbags, hill descent control, rear parking, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and the optional roll-cage.

It will be available in. two seating options. You can either get a 6-seater (2+4) layout or in 4 seat layout (2+2) layout. The interior has all the latest tech including a new touchscreen infotainment system, digital MID display for the driver, climate control, and more.

Mahindra also auctioned the first unit of Thar to raise funds for a charity. Delhi based Aakash Minda won the first unit of Thar 2020 at Rs. 1.11 Crore.

The new Thar 2020 will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The next-gen Thar metro model has 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 152hp and 300Nm. The diesel engine is a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged producing 132hp and 300Nm One can purchase it with either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

Mahindra will start delivering the new Thar 2020 starting from November 1, 2020.
