India’s leading SUV manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. announced the launch of a new W9 variant of XUV500. Mahindra XUV500 W9 comes with the few additional features like sunroof along with a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines. The new variant W9 also equipped with some attractive features like Electric Sunroof with Anti-pinch, 18cm (7 inch) Touchscreen Infotainment System, Reverse Camera with Dynamic Assist, Android Auto, Industry First Ecosense Technology, Emergency Call, Electric Sunroof with Anti-pinch and Dual Airbags.

Speaking about the launch of the XUV500 W9 variant, Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said, “Since its launch in 2011, the XUV500 has been a pioneer in providing innovative hi-tech features that are not available even in vehicles that are almost double its price. We are certain that the introduction of these hi-end features at such a competitive price point will generate a lot of interest amongst prospects who are evaluating SUVs in the price range of 14 lacs to 18 lacs. By introducing these aspirational features at this price, XUV500 has raised the bar once again.”

The Mahindra XUV500 is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. The engine generates max power of 140PS and peak torque of 330Nm. Engine is mated with a standard 6-speed manual or an optional 6-speed automatic. The drivetrain options include a standard FWD (front-wheel-drive) setup along with an AWD (all-wheel-drive).
