Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the 2019 Gixxer SF in the country making its debut alongside its new older sibling. The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF has been launched at a price of Rs. 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom). The company offers an upgrade to the 155 cc motorcycle as the major update along with the cosmetic changes and new features on offer. Mechanically the motorcycle is almost the same. The 2019 Gixxer SF is ready to hit the market later this month and likely to make the way for an updated Gixxer street-fighter.
The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF comes with a new full-fairing along the lines of the SF 250. The bike also gets a thick and wider LED headlamp with the handlebar upgraded to clip-ons. The graphics of the body are also totally new. The split seats are replaced by the step-up of a stylish single seat. The bike also gets an LED taillight along with a rear tyre hugger.
The new motorcycle Suzuki Gixxer SF comes with the 154 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine with fuel-injection which is Powered by max power of 14 bhp and a peak torque of 14.1 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The suspension is managed by telescopic forks up front, which is now stiffer for better feedback while rear continues to get a monoshock unit. There are disc brakes at either end and single-channel ABS as standard on the Gixxer. The bike’s kerb weight stands at 146 kg.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF has been a popular seller and the update is certainly going to help the manufacturer improve volumes on the motorcycle. The Gixxer SF likely to compete against the Hero Xtreme 200S, Yamaha YZF-R15 S. Bookings are already open for the new Gixxer SF, and deliveries begin by the end of the month.
