Skoda India has officially launched the 2025 Kodiaq, and it is more premium than ever. With prices starting at ₹46.89 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), this full-size SUV comes in two variants — Sportline and the top-of-the-line Selection L&K (Laurin & Klement) — the latter priced at ₹48.69 lakh. Yes, the price jump over the older version is significant, but so is the update.
The design of the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq stays true to its bold and practical DNA, but adds subtle elegance and sharper detailing. Both variants get sleek LED headlamps, the signature Skoda butterfly grille, and connected C-shaped LED tail lamps that give the SUV a wide and confident stance.
But the trim-specific touches make a difference.
The Sportline, as the name suggests, goes for the all-black theme — blacked-out grille, black ORVMs, and black roof rails. On the other hand, the Selection L&K variant wears chrome and silver accents generously, even sporting an LED light bar across the grille, making it pop — especially after sundown.
Both sit on 18-inch alloys, but the designs vary by variant to match their styling approach.
Inside, the story is about comfort, tech, and a clear division in themes. The Sportline gets an all-black cabin — sporty and sleek — while the L&K trim opts for a dual-tone black and tan setup that feels plush and premium.
What is common across both is the layout and tech. It has a a massive 12.9-inch floating touchscreen and a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display. There’s also Skoda’s signature 3-spoke steering wheel and a multi-functional rotary knobs for infotainment, climate, and drive modes It is modern but still keeps physical controls where they matter. A balance many will appreciate.
Skoda has loaded the Kodiaq with everything you would expect in this segment, and maybe more. We get features like Dual wireless phone chargers, Panoramic sunroof, 3-zone automatic climate control, Multi-colour ambient lighting, 13-speaker Canton sound system, and Ventilated, heated, and massage-enabled front seats
Safety is equally impressive with 9 airbags, ESC, 360-degree camera, hill-start/descent control, TPMS, front and rear parking sensors, and park assist. However, there is no ADAS — a bit of a surprise at this price point.
Under the hood, the 2025 Kodiaq continues with its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine but with more punch now:
The increase in power should make the Kodiaq feel more responsive, especially on highways. With AWD and solid torque, it still promises that planted, European SUV driving experience — something enthusiasts truly appreciate.

The Kodiaq competes with heavyweights like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Jeep Meridian. It will also face competition from the upcoming MG Majestor. While rivals bring rugged charm or more size to the table, the Kodiaq leans towards refinement, premium features, and polished on-road manners.
