| Engine Type | Power | Torque | Transmission |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.2L Petrol (NA) | 88 PS | 115 Nm | 5-speed MT / AMT / 6-speed DCT* |
| 1.2L Petrol + CNG | 73.5 PS | 103 Nm | 5-speed MT |
| 1.5L Diesel | 90 PS | 200 Nm | 5-speed MT |
The 2025 Altroz facelift retains the same engine options as the previous model. The 1.2L NA Petrol engine is good for daily city use and occasional highway trips. It is smooth and reliable, though not very powerful for thrill-seekers. The 1.2L Petrol + CNG is perfect for buyers who want low running costs. Performance is decent for city use. The 1.5L Diesel engine option offers a great torque and makes it ideal for long highway drives and fuel efficiency lovers.
The addition of 5-speed AMT for the NA petrol engine is a welcome move, especially for city commuters who prefer convenience. The 6-speed DCT with paddle shifters will make the automatic variant feel more premium and responsive.
Fresh Exterior Design
The 2025 Altroz now looks sharper and sportier. It gets new dual-pod LED headlights, eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs, and pixel-style LED fog lamps that are placed in a bold housing. The front bumper also has black inserts that add a sporty touch.
On the side, Tata has added new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and flush-type illuminated door handles at the front – a first-in-segment feature. The rear handles continue to be mounted on the C-pillar.

At the back, there are stylish connected LED tail lights and a redesigned bumper with black accents. The 2025 Altroz is available in five attractive colours: Dune Glow, Pristine White, Royal Blue, Ember Glow, and Pure Grey. All these come with a dual-tone black roof from the Accomplished S variant onward.
Step inside the new Altroz and you will notice a more premium and tech-rich cabin. The dashboard now has a dual-tone finish with a black gloss strip and ambient lighting. It also gets the new touch-based AC panel and 2-spoke illuminated steering wheel from the Tata Nexon.

One of the key highlights is the 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, which is a segment-first feature. It can show turn-by-turn navigation using Google Maps or Apple Maps and is fully customizable. The infotainment system is also a 10.25-inch touchscreen.
To make the cabin more spacious and airy, Tata has used beige upholstery and added rear centre armrests with cup holders – something missing in the older version.
The 2025 Altroz packs in several new and useful features:
Tata has also focused on safety in the new Altroz. Here are some of the key safety features:
Starting at ₹6.89 lakh, the base Smart variant is well-priced for budget-conscious buyers. Mid-variants like Pure and Creative offer a great balance of features and price. The top-end diesel and CNG variants go above ₹11 lakh, which feels a bit expensive but justified due to the tech and safety on offer.
The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift is not just a cosmetic update. It brings serious upgrades in tech, safety, and convenience. Whether you are a daily commuter, a family buyer, or a CNG-conscious user, there is a variant for everyone. Tata has improved upon an already solid product, and the introductory prices make it a smart buy in the premium hatchback segment.
The updated Tata Altroz will continue to compete with Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza. With its new features, refreshed design, and improved safety, the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift becomes a stronger contender in the premium hatchback space.
