Tata Motors has launched the all-wheel drive (AWD) version of the 2025 Harrier EV in India. The price starts at ₹28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it one of the very few Tata cars to offer AWD, and it is available only with the top-end Empowered variant.
The Harrier EV is available in three broad variants – Adventure, Fearless, and Empowered. AWD is only offered with the Empowered variant that also comes with a 75 kWh battery.

The AWD version is ₹1.5 lakh more expensive than the rear-wheel drive (RWD) version with the same battery pack.
The AWD version of the Harrier EV uses a dual-motor layout that delivers 396 PS of power and 504 Nm of torque. Thanks to the Boost Mode, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds.

The car supports fast charging. You can charge it from 20% to 80% in just 25 minutes using a 120 kW fast charger. Tata also offers a lifetime battery warranty, which is a big plus.
With AWD, the Harrier EV is not just for city roads. It has an approach angle of 25.3°, breakover angle of 16.6°, and departure angle of 26.4°. There are six terrain modes: Normal, Custom, Rock Crawl, Snow/Grass, Mud Ruts, and Sand

The Tata Harrier EV is packed with premium features that make every drive comfortable and connected. It comes with a large 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support ensure seamless smartphone connectivity without the hassle of cables.
The cabin offers dual-zone climate control, allowing passengers to adjust the temperature to their individual preferences. For music lovers, there is a powerful 10-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos that delivers an immersive audio experience. The Harrier EV also features a panoramic sunroof, which adds to the sense of space and luxury inside the cabin. Other highlights include multi-colour ambient lighting and powered, ventilated front seats, making long journeys more enjoyable.
Tata has made sure that safety is a top priority in the 2025 Harrier EV. The SUV is equipped with seven airbags to protect all occupants in case of a collision. It has both front and rear parking sensors, along with a 360-degree camera system that makes parking and maneuvering in tight spots easier. The electronic stability control (ESC) helps keep the vehicle stable during sudden turns or slippery conditions.
It also comes with an electronic parking brake with auto hold, adding convenience and safety on inclines. To further enhance driving safety, the Harrier EV features Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering smart features like lane assist, emergency braking, and more.
Bookings for the Tata Harrier EV will open from July 2. It competes with the BYD Atto 3 and Mahindra XUV.e9. It is also a more budget-friendly alternative to the BYD Sealion 7 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.
