The BMW India has launched ‘Shadow Edition’ of the 3-Series in India. This new limited edition model has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 41.4 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The ‘Shadow Edition’ gets a gloss black finish on the slats of the kidney grille up front. The frame of the grille also gets a gloss black finish and the headlamps gets that smoked or ‘shadow’ effect. The exhaust tips at rear gets black chrome while the tail lamps also gets smoked effect. The Shadow Edition comes with the 330i M sport variant at a price of Rs. 47.3 lakh and with the 320d Sport variant at a price of Rs. 41.4 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The updated interior comes with a new red and black upholstery and a new 10.5-inch instrument cluster along with M-Sport leather steering wheel and M-Sport door sills. The Shadow edition comes with the newly designed alloys (different designs for petrol and diesel variants). The Shadow edition gets other features including six airbags, reverse parking camera, dual-zone climate control, electronic stability control and the infotainment system same as previous model.

The engine or the performance of the Shadow edition same as previous model. The petrol 330i M-Sport is powered by 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine which generates max power of 252 bhp and a peak torque of 350 Nm having a 0-100 kmph time of 5.8 seconds. While the 320d diesel model is powered by 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine which generates max power of 190 bhp and a peak torque of 400 Nm. Its 0-100 kmph time is 7.2 seconds. Both models get an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
