Honda has launched the Rebel 500 in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price of ₹5.12 lakh. This cruiser motorcycle has been popular in international markets for a long time and is now finally making its way to Indian roads. However, Honda will sell the Rebel 500 in limited numbers and only in three cities – Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Deliveries for this premium cruiser will begin in June 2025.

The Honda Rebel 500 stands out with its low-slung design and retro-inspired looks. It has a very low seat height of just 690mm, making it ideal for shorter riders and those who prefer relaxed cruising. This is one of the lowest seat heights currently offered on any motorcycle in India.

The bike gets a steeply raked fuel tank, a round LED headlamp, and fully LED lighting all around, giving it a clean and modern appearance. Honda is offering the Rebel 500 in a single Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic colour, which adds to its bold and stealthy look.

The Rebel 500 gets a telescopic front fork and dual Showa shock absorbers at the rear for a smooth and comfortable ride. Braking duties are handled by a 296mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, paired with dual-channel ABS for better safety.

The bike rides on Dunlop tyres with a 130/90-16 front and 150/80-16 rear, which adds to its muscular cruiser stance. It also comes with a round inverted LCD instrument cluster, which displays key information like speed, gear position, fuel level, and more in a clean layout.

Rebel 500 is powered by a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that delivers 45.59 bhp and 43.3 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine is known for its smooth and linear power delivery. So, this motorbike is ideal for long-distance cruising as well as city rides.

The Honda Rebel 500 will be sold through the company’s BigWing premium dealership network. As of now, it will be available only in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The company has not confirmed anything about a wider launch across the country.

Rebel 500 will compete with other middleweight cruisers like the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, and Kawasaki Eliminator.
