Hyundai Creta has become the best-selling car in India for March 2025, with a total of 18,059 units sold. This includes both the internal combustion engine (ICE) and the electric vehicle (EV) versions of the SUV. The growing popularity of the Creta Electric has played a major role in pushing the total sales to new heights.

With this performance, the Hyundai Creta not only secured the number one position in March but also became the best-selling SUV in the last quarter of FY 2024-25. A total of 52,898 units were sold between January and March 2025.

For the entire financial year 2024-25, Hyundai sold 1,94,971 units of the Creta, making it the third highest-selling car in India over the year.

Hyundai has also shared some interesting insights about the sales:

  • 29 percent of Creta ICE buyers chose the top variants.
  • Among Creta Electric buyers, 71 percent went for the top-spec models.
  • 69 percent of all Creta units sold came with a panoramic sunroof.
  • 38 percent of the buyers opted for variants with connected car features.

These numbers show that Indian buyers are leaning towards feature-rich versions of the Creta, especially the electric model.

The Hyundai Creta is known for its balanced mix of design, features, and performance. It comes with three engine options and a spacious, premium cabin. For those who want a sportier SUV, there is also the Hyundai Creta N Line, which gets a bolder design and sportier driving dynamics.

Feature Highlights

Some of the top features available in the Hyundai Creta include:

  • 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • 10.25-inch digital driver’s display
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Wireless phone charger
  • 8-speaker Bose sound system
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Ambient lighting

Safety Features

Hyundai has equipped the Creta with several safety features, including:

  • Six airbags (standard)
  • Electronic stability control (ESC)
  • Front and rear parking sensors with 360-degree camera
  • Electronic parking brake with auto hold
  • Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)

With this strong package and a growing demand for electric options, the Hyundai Creta continues to be one of the most popular SUVs in India.

While the Hyundai Creta has taken the top spot, the compact SUV space is highly competitive. The car is facing tough competition from Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Honda Elevate is also a good car in this segment.
