Hyundai India has launched all-new Grand i10 Nios in India. The all-new Grand i10 Nios has been launched at an starting price of Rs. 4.99 lakh for the base petrol variant which goes up to 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom India) for the top-spec diesel variant. The new hatchback is just a third-generation Grand i10 developed for the Indian market. India is the first market to get the model ahead of its launch in Europe later this year. The name ‘NIOS’ stands for ‘Need more’. The company says that the design of the new hatchback has been specifically developed for Indian customers.

The new Grand i10 Nios received a fresh front with its global design language. A new design of Front grille gets two boomerang LED daytime running lamps at inside boundaries. New headlamp clusters with projector lamps have been decorated beautifully. Angular elements make the new-generation Grand i10 Nios edgier and beautiful hatchback. The multiple creases at the bonnet provide a bold look. The car gets a floating roof, newly designed alloys and rising window line along with chrome door handles which gives a premium look to the car.

Interior looks premium with a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system at dashboard which gets smartphone connectivity. The steering and the AC vents looks similar to the Hyundai Venue. Inside the cabin there is new ivory-grey fabric upholstery on offer which further ups the premium quotient.

The Grand i10 Nios comes with the 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-litre petrol generates a max power of 82 bhp and a peak torque of 114 Nm and mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as also a 5-step AMT as well. The 1.2 litre diesel generates a max power of 74 bhp and a peak torque of 190 Nm. The diesel engine is also available with a 5-speed manual and an AMT. The petrol engine with the manual transmission returns a fuel economy figure of 20.7 kmpl while the AMT returns 20.2 kmpl. The diesel on the other hand for both the diesel manual and automatic is 26.2 kmpl.
