The Hyundai rolled off the first car from the company’s Sriperumbudur manufacturing facility, just outside of Chennai. The venue had first showcased at New York International Auto Show. The Venue will be first available in the Indian market then subsequently be going on sale elsewhere, including Korea and the USA. The Venue will be officially launched in India on 21st May 2019. The Upcoming SUV will take on the established in segment SUVs in market including Ford EcoSport, Vitara Brezza, and Mahindra XUV300.

The first car rollout from the company was in a fresh color Lava Orange. The Venue will also be available with the option of dual-tone contrast roof in black. The car gets the brand new turbocharged 1.0, 3-cylinder petrol engine that is coming to India for the first time with the Hyundai Venue. The new engine is mated with a 7-Speed DCT (dual-clutch) gearbox.

Bookings for the Venue commenced just a few days ago. It received 2000 bookings in the first 24 hours alone. The Hyundai Venue will be available in 7 colors (Stardust, Typhoon Silver, Denim Blue, Deep Forest, Fiery Red, Polar White, and Lava Orange of course). There will be three dual-tone options on offer too. The Venue carries the company’s new design language that resembles the current new gen Santa Fe. The slim LED lights up top and the large and wide ‘cascade’ front grill are the chief characteristics of the new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language.

Along with the 1.0 petrol engine, there are also the 1.2 petrol and 1.4-liter diesel engine. The 1.2-petrol comes with a 5-Speed manual gearbox, while the diesel engine comes with a 6-Speed gearbox. The car is also being named as India’s first connected car. The Hyundai Venue will also support an eSIM – or an embedded sim card that will be used to help fulfill many data related functions like emergency response, maps, finding destinations and connectivity to your loved ones. The Hyundai has already tied up with Vodafone-Idea for the eSIM services, and all data services for buyers using the function will be free while the warranty is applicable – which is expected to be 3 years.
