Today Hyundai launched new generation Verna with a new powertrain 1.4-litre engine. The new Verna has been launched at a staring price of Rs. 7.79 Lakh. The Verna with 1.4-litre engine will be available in two variants E and EX. The E variant will be available at price Rs. 7.79 lakh and variant EX will be available at price Rs. 9.09 lakh. The new generation Verna is getting good response after launched in August 2017.

Commenting on the new engine introduction Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Director-Sales & Marketing, HMIL said, “The Next Gen VERNA is a super sedan and has established its supremacy in the market since its launch in August 2017. The Next Gen VERNA with 1.4 L Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine is the perfect combination of performance and fuel efficiency and showcases Hyundai‘s commitment to provide products based on customers aspirations. We are sure this addition will strengthen VERNA’s popularity and offer the customers a wider option to own and experience the super sedan.”

Till now Verna was available with 1.6 liter petrol and diesel engines but now it also get an option with 1.4-litre petrol engine. The Verna with 1.4-Litre petrol engine is approx. 2 lakh cheaper than 1.6 litre petrol engine version and will be more accessible for buyers.

This Verna gets 1.4-litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine which generates max power of 99 bhp and a peak torque of 132 Nm. The 1.4-litre engine comes with the 6-Speed manual transmission only. This 1.4-litre variant offers 19.1 kmpl which is 8 percent more fuel efficient than previous.
