Jeep has launched a new special edition of its Compass SUV, called the Bedrock edition. The new edition of Compass has been launched at price of Rs. 17.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new special edition has been launched to celebrate 25,000 units sold of the Compass. The Bedrock edition is based on the Compass Diesel 4X2 variant. The Bedrock now gets more equipment and cosmetic changes inside and outside.
While the launch of Bedrock edition the CEO of Fiat Chrysler India Kevin Flynn said “We are proud of what we have achieved with the Jeep Compass in less than one year of it being in the market. The Bedrock edition comes in three paint shades – Minimal Grey, Vocal White and Exotica Red. It also gets black-finished decals on the doors, 16-inch alloy wheels and black roof rails. Inside the cabin it gets Bedrock-badged seat covers, new floor mats and the 5.0-inch infotainment system doubles as a reversing camera with dynamic guidance.
The Bedrock edition comes with ABS with EBD, dual-front airbags, stability and traction control, folding wing mirrors, four-wheel disc brakes and four-wheel disc brakes.
The Compass Bedrock is powered by the 2 litre, turbocharged diesel engine which generates max power of 170 Bhp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The engine is mated with a 6 speed manual gearbox drives the front wheels of the SUV.
