Mahindra has made the Thar Roxx AX7L even more premium. The SUV now comes with Dolby Atmos 4-channel spatial audio paired with a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. This is the first time Mahindra is offering such a high-end audio experience in the Thar.

Immersive Sound Experience

The new system has been developed in partnership with Dolby Laboratories and aims to turn the cabin into an immersive audio zone. The 9-speaker Harman Kardon setup makes sure the sound flows all around you and gives depth and clarity whether you are listening to music, a podcast, or even an audiobook. It is like enjoying a live concert inside your car.

To make things even more convenient, the Thar Roxx AX7L comes with built-in Gaana music streaming. You can directly stream Dolby Atmos-compatible tracks without needing any extra device. Whether you are driving through city roads or off-roading in the mountains, your entertainment stays smooth and rich.

This Dolby Atmos feature is only available on new units of the Thar Roxx AX7L. It cannot be added to existing Thar models through retrofitting.

Even with this premium audio upgrade, there is no change in price. The Thar Roxx AX7L still starts at ₹20.69 lakh for the petrol automatic 4×2 variant, and ₹19.79 lakh for the diesel manual 4×2 variant (ex-showroom).

The Thar Roxx AX7L comes in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol variant gets a 2.0-litre turbo engine that produces 174 bhp and is offered only with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The diesel variant is powered by a 2.2-litre engine and gives you the choice of a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. It also comes in rear-wheel-drive and 4×4 versions, making it a strong off-roader as well.
