Mahindra has officially launched the XUV 7XO in India with prices starting at Rs 13.66 lakh, ex-showroom. The starting price is close to that of the outgoing XUV 700. The XUV 7XO is positioned as the updated and more premium evolution of the XUV 700, with noticeable design changes and a major technology upgrade inside the cabin.
Mahindra has focused on refining what already worked well. The result is an SUV that looks bolder, feels more modern, and offers more features than before.
Exterior
The design changes are most noticeable at the front. The XUV 7XO now looks more squared and muscular. It gets a redesigned grille along with new dual-barrel LED projector headlights. The daytime running lamps have also been revised and now look sharper.
The front bumper has been reworked and features unique twin LED fog lamps placed on either side of the central air intake. These small details help the XUV 7XO stand apart from the older XUV 700 and its electric siblings.
From the side, the profile remains familiar. The biggest update here is the new alloy wheel design. The top variant rides on large 19-inch alloy wheels, while lower trims get 18-inch and 17-inch wheels, along with steel wheels on select variants.
At the rear, Mahindra has updated the tail lamps and redesigned the bumper. The new lighting elements add a fresh touch and complete the updated look.
Interior
Inside the cabin, the changes are more dramatic. The XUV 7XO gets a new dashboard design, with top variants featuring a wide tri-screen layout inspired by Mahindra’s Born Electric SUVs. This setup includes three 12.3-inch displays for the driver, infotainment, and co-driver.
These screens run Mahindra’s latest AdrenoX Plus system. The co-driver display can stream content, adding a unique tech feature to the cabin. The front seats are power adjustable, with the driver seat offering a memory function. The co-driver seat also gets a powered boss mode, allowing rear passengers to create extra legroom.
Rear seat comfort has been improved as well. Second-row passengers get sun blinds on the doors, a wireless charging pad near the centre console, and easy access to the third row thanks to a tumble function on the co-driver seat. Buyers can choose between a six-seat layout with captain chairs or a seven-seat layout with a bench seat.
Variants on Offer
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is available in six trim levels. These include AX, AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7T, and AX7 L. Features and seating options vary depending on the variant.
