Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that its Ciaz has become the best selling compact Sedan sedan car in the first half of this financial year.
The company sold 6,246 units in September and over 24000 units of the cars first half of this financial year. Since the launch in 2014, the company has sold a total 234,000 units.
If we look at the market share, Ciaz hols 28.8 percent market share in the premium sedan segment where it is competing against Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Vento, and Skoda Rapid.

Over 10,000 customers have booked the New Ciaz in the first month of its launch. The company refreshed the Ciaz in late August when it launched 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift starting at Rs 8.19 lakh. The big update was the new 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine. This new engine offers 13 percent more power and 6 percent more torque than the older 1.4-litre engine. While the car was already popular among buyers, facelift model boosted the momentum.
