Nissan has launched the Kuro Edition of its popular compact SUV, the Magnite, with prices starting at ₹8.31 lakh (ex-showroom). This new edition is based on the mid-spec N-Connecta variant and brings an all-black theme, which has become a trend among SUV buyers lately.
You can now book the Magnite Kuro Edition by paying a token amount of ₹11,000 at your nearest Nissan dealership.
Visually, the Kuro Edition stands out with its bold all-black styling. It gets a glossy black front grille, blacked-out roof rails, 16-inch black alloy wheels, and a resin black skid plate at the rear. The headlamps have also been upgraded from halogen units in the standard N-Connecta to LED units with a smoked effect. A Kuro Edition badge on the front fender adds a distinct touch. The all-black theme continues inside the cabin, where everything from the upholstery to the dashboard and roof liner follows the “Midnight Black” design. To enhance the premium feel, Nissan has added piano black inserts on the steering wheel and gear shifter. As part of the edition’s upgrades, the car also gets a wireless phone charger and a dashcam – both offered as accessory fitments.
There are no mechanical changes in the Kuro Edition. It continues to be offered with the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines.
| Engine Type | Power | Torque | Transmission |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.0L NA Petrol | 72 PS | 96 Nm | 5MT / 5AMT |
| 1.0L Turbo Petrol | 100 PS | Up to 160 Nm | 5MT / CVT |
Despite the cosmetic changes, the Kuro Edition retains all the features of the N-Connecta variant.
These include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, push-button start, a 6-speaker Arkamys-tuned audio system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

On the safety front, the Magnite Kuro Edition comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill start assist, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a rear wiper with defogger. The made-in-India Magnite has also recently scored a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash tests for the South African market, adding more confidence for safety-conscious buyers.
