On the eve of Independence Day, Ola Electric unveiled its new flagship electric scooter, the Ola S1 Pro Sport. The launch took place at the company’s Sankalp event at its Tamil Nadu factory. The scooter has been introduced at an introductory price of Rs 1,49,999 (ex-showroom). Bookings are open for Rs 999, with deliveries scheduled to start from January 2026.

The S1 Pro Sport is a sportier version of the popular S1 range. It comes with Ola’s new 13 kW in-house designed ferrite motor, sport-tuned suspension, and an aggressive design. The scooter also becomes the first electric scooter in India to feature Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The scooter gets a sharp, aerodynamically optimised body with a small windscreen for added style. Ola has used lightweight carbon fibre for the front fender and grab rail to reduce weight. The seat now has a scooped-out design and better cushioning for improved comfort. Lighting remains all-LED, but a new DRL improves visibility.

One of the biggest highlights is the ADAS suite. It offers collision warnings, blind spot alerts, adaptive cruise control, traffic recognition, and speeding alerts. A front camera on the apron acts as both a dashcam and a theft alert system. It can also record rides. The updated interface includes a voice assistant, customisable moods, predictive maintenance, ride insights, and smart charging features.

The S1 Pro Sport is powered by Ola’s new ferrite magnet motor with 16 kW peak power and 71 Nm torque. The 5.2 kWh battery uses new 4680 cells and offers a claimed IDC range of 320 km. Ola claims it can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2 seconds, with a top speed of 152 kmph.

The scooter rides on a telescopic front fork and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking is handled by discs at both ends. It has 14-inch front alloy wheels with wide tyres, a 791 mm seat height, and 34 litres of under-seat storage.

Ola has also revised prices for other models with the new 4680 cells. The S1 Pro+ 5.2 kWh is now priced at Rs 1,69,999, while the Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh is priced at Rs 1,89,999 (both ex-showroom). A special Rs 10,000 discount is available on these models till August 17. Deliveries for these will start from Navratri.

The Ola S1 Pro Sport is clearly aimed at those who want a high-performance electric scooter packed with features. With ADAS, improved range, and sporty styling, Ola seems ready to push the premium electric scooter market to the next level.
