MG Motor India has launched the 2025 Hector facelift and the Hector Plus facelift in the country. Prices start at Rs 11.99 lakh for the Hector and Rs 17.29 lakh for the Hector Plus, ex-showroom. These are introductory prices, and bookings are now open.
This update is not a full-generation change, but MG has made several visible improvements. The focus is on refreshed styling, a new cabin theme, and added colour options, while the overall character of the SUV remains the same.
The updated Hector range is offered in multiple variants. The regular Hector is available with a turbo-petrol manual and CVT automatic, while the Hector Plus continues to offer both 6-seater and 7-seater layouts. The top-end Hector Plus Savvy Pro CVT is priced at Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom.

The biggest design change is at the front. The 2025 Hector gets a much larger grille with heavy chrome detailing. It looks bolder and more imposing than before. The split LED headlamps and DRLs remain unchanged, but the revised bumper adds a fresh touch. From the side and rear, the SUV looks familiar, though MG has added new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
MG has also introduced two new exterior colours. The Hector facelift now comes in Celadon Blue and Pearl White, along with existing shades such as Glaze Red, Aurora Silver, and Starry Black.

Inside, the cabin layout stays the same, which works well for a family SUV. The Hector now gets a new dual-tone Ice Grey interior theme. MG has made subtle changes to trims and finishes to give the cabin a more premium feel. The dashboard continues with its layered design, dominated by the large portrait-style touchscreen. Gloss black elements are used across the dashboard and centre console.

The Hector remains a 5-seater, while the Hector Plus is offered in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. The front seats now offer extended under-thigh support for better comfort. The 7-seater Hector Plus comes with a different dual-tone Urban Tan interior theme.
On the features front, the Hector facelift continues to be well-equipped. It offers a 14-inch infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, an air purifier, powered tailgate, cruise control, push-button start, and an Infinity sound system.

Safety is also a strong point. The SUV gets six airbags as standard, along with electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and Level-2 ADAS.

Under the hood, the 2025 Hector and Hector Plus facelift are currently available only with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. It produces 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. MG has confirmed that diesel variants will return in 2026.

In the market, the MG Hector and Hector Plus will continue to compete with SUVs like the Tata Harrier and Safari, the Mahindra Scorpio N, the updated Mahindra XUV700, and the Hyundai Alcazar.
