Hyundai has quietly introduced a new mid-spec variant of the Verna – the SX Plus – expanding its petrol lineup. This new variant sits between the existing SX and SX(O) trims and is available with both manual and CVT gearbox options. With the launch of the SX Plus, premium features like heated and ventilated seats, leatherette upholstery, and an 8-speaker Bose sound system are now more affordable – costing over Rs 1 lakh less than before.

The biggest highlight of the SX Plus variant is that it makes several premium features more accessible to buyers. This is the most affordable Verna variant to offer Heated and ventilated front seats, Leatherette seat upholstery, and 8-speaker Bose premium sound system
It also includes everything offered on the SX trim like The Hyundai Verna SX Plus also carries forward all the features offered in the SX trim. This includes LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and LED tail lights that enhance its road presence. It rides on stylish 16-inch alloy wheels and comes with a single-pane sunroof that adds a premium touch. Inside, the cabin features a dual-tone black and beige theme, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever. For infotainment, it gets an 8-inch touchscreen system. Other features include automatic climate control with rear AC vents, a wireless phone charger, a cooled glovebox, ambient lighting, and cruise control for added comfort and convenience.
The Verna SX Plus does not compromise on safety either. It gets 6 airbags, Hill start assist, Rear parking camera, Front and rear parking sensors, Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and Electronic parking brake.
The new SX Plus is offered with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a CVT (automatic) transmission.
The more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (160 PS) is still reserved for the higher SX(O) and Turbo variants.
Hyundai is now offering a wired-to-wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay adapter as a complimentary accessory for several models including: Grand i10 Nios, Aura, Exter, Venue (including N Line), and Verna. This means you can now enjoy a completely wireless smartphone connection without needing USB cables.
The Hyundai Verna continues to rival popular mid-size sedans like the Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia. With the new SX Plus variant, Hyundai has made it even more tempting for buyers looking for a value-packed, feature-rich sedan.
