Hyundai Venue Launched In India At Starting Price of Rs. 6.50 Lakh

Today Hyundai has launched its much-awaited subcompact SUV the Venue in India. The all-new Venue has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 6.50 lakh for the base petrol model and goes up to ₹ 11.10 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India) for the top end automatic variant. The all-new subcompact SUV made its global debut last month and will compete with the cars of the segment including Ford Ecosport, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The Venue received over 2000 pre-bookings for the Venue in a single day indicates a strong start for the car. Deliveries will commence by later this month. India is one of the biggest markets for the Hyundai Venue and it has been continuously improving the performance and quality of cars for Indian customers. The Indian version of Venue gets comes with rear air-con vents and the voice-assist system which can recognize Indian-accented English.

Venue launched in India

The all-new Venue follows the design language of current Hyundai models with the broad cascading grille up front, tall stance and stubby boot design, split headlamps with projector lens and squared LED DRLs. The new Venue comes with faux cladding on the bumpers and the sides for the brawny appeal, even as the SUV is urban in its appearance riding on 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The side look of Venue resembles with the Creta. The Venue is available in five variants, seven monotone colors and three dual-tone color options.

The Hyundai Venue comes with petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor generates a max power of 118 bhp and a peak torque of 172 Nm. The engine is mated to a dual-clutch transmission while a six-speed manual is also on offer. There’s also the 1.2-liter, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol which generates a max power of 82 bhp and a peak torque of 114 Nm, which is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Lastly, the 1.4-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine generates a max power of 89 bhp and a peak torque of 220 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Hyundai Venue comes with the features including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Arkamys sound system, electric sunroof, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, air purifier, wireless charging and wheel air curtains.

The big takeaway is the Connected Car tag on the Venue that comes from the embedded eSIM for the connected tech that Hyundai calls BlueLink. The new feature offers access to functions like remote start, climate control, geofencing, SOS alert, Indian-accented English voice assist system and much more. The eSIM will be powered by Vodafone-Idea. Safety technology is in abundance as well on the car and includes ABS with EBD, six airbags, rear parking sensors with reverse camera, ESC, Hill Launch Assist and more.
