The congress lead Government started Aadhaar card but it couldn’t really make proper use of it. Now the current BJP government is not leaving any chance of removing fake connection or cards issued till date. It has Made Aadhar linking mandatory for many things including the driving licenses.
After the Aadhar and driving Licence linking, the government can easily identify fake Multiple Licence Holders and remove the usage of Fake Licence cards.
If you have a driving license, you need to link it to your Aadhar card. In this article, I am listing the steps for linking Aadhar card with Driving Licence.
Step 1: Visit the official website of state road transport department that issued your driving license. If you are not sure about official website of your state, scroll down to see the list.
Step 2: Find the ‘Aadhaar Number Entry’ on the page. Here, you will see the option of ‘Search Element’ as Registration number or License. Enter your Registration or License number and click on Get details.
Step 3: Now enter your 12 digits Aadhaar number and mobile number in the column provided.
Step 4: Submit the form and it will send you an OTP on the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to confirm.
Your details will be sent to transport officials for verification. Once the verification has been done, you will receive the SMS alert.
