On Tuesday Mahindra & Mahindra launched a new petrol variant of XUV500. The petrol version of XUV500 will be available in single variant named as ‘G AT’. The new variant ‘G AT’ is priced at Rs.15.49 lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new petrol powered variant will be available with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Now the XUV500 comes with a petrol variant and a range of diesel variant.

According to Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, “Since its launch, the XUV500 has been a trendsetter in the premium SUV segment with a great value proposition plus head-turning style and a plethora of hi-tech features. The introduction of the XUV500 G AT petrol variant will excite consumers who have been eagerly awaiting a petrol option. The G AT variant delivers impressive performance that has come to be synonymous with the XUV500.”

XUV500 G AT is powered by the indigenously developed 2.2 litre mHawk petrol engine. This petrol engine generates max power of 140 HP (103 KW) and a peak torque of 320 Nm. The petrol engine of XUV500 G AT is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
