Today, Maruti launched Baleno RS into a high-performance segment. The company brings 1.0 litre Boosterjet Direct Injection Turbo Charged engine – which delivers 30% more torque and 20% more power than a 1.2 litre petrol engine. The ‘RS’ stands for ‘Road Sport’. Maruti keeps introductory price of Baleno RS to Rs 8.69 lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi). Boosterjet Turbo Charged will provide effortless driving inside city and on highways with high performance. People who want extra performance with good mileage, Baleno RS is a perfect option for them.

While Presenting the Baleno RS, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki, Mr. Kenichi Ayukawa said: “With the path-breaking 1.0 litre Boosterjet Maruti Suzuki marks its entry in the high performance segment. The 1.0 litre Boosterjet Direct Injection Turbo Charged engine delivers outstanding power, which is 20% more, than a conventional 1.2 litre petrol engine. At the same time, torque is over a wide range of RPM and is 30% higher than a conventional 1.2 litre petrol engine. Baleno RS is for the performance enthusiasts who seek more power, throttle response and excitement in their day-to-day driving.”

Engine

The Maruti Baleno RS  comes with 5 speed manual transmission and is powered by 1.0 litre Boosterjet engine which delivers 102PS power @5500 rpm and it produces 150 Nm torque at 1700-4500 rpm. This is most powered petrol car from Maruti in India.

Exterior

The Baleno RS comes with Chrome door handles, Chrome accent front grille and Back door spoiler which make it beautiful and attractive.

ORVMs and bumpers matche with body colour. Turn indicators are adjusted on ORVMs itself. Daytime Running Lamps and Rear Combination Lamps are compiled with LED. Black Alloy Wheels gives Sporty look to Baleno RS. Other exteriors are Projector headlamps and UV Cut Glass (Front doors + Rear doors + Qtr glass) consolidated on car.

Interior

Interior is looking spacious, beautiful and attractive. Inside door handles and tipped parking brake coated with metal finish. The Baleno RS is packed with Glove box illumination, Luggage room illumination and Front foot well illumination. Steering wheel is wrapped with Leather sheet. Multi Information Speedometer Display comes with colored TFT.
