Maruti Suzuki will launch a limited edition of its Ignis Hatchback in India. The company has yet to disclose the price and we should know it at the time of launch.
The car is now listed on automaker’s website. The listing on the website confirms that the Ignis limited edition comes with host of cosmetic upgrades on the mid-level Delta variant. It will also get accessories worth ₹ 45,000. The accessories kit includes side door cladding with the Ignis badging, body kit with silver moulding on the side skirts and faux skid plates on the front and rear bumpers.
As it is based on mid-level variant, you miss the projector lens headlamps, LED DRLs, alloy wheels, and the touchscreen infotainment system. It comes with tailgate-mounted spoiler and leatherette premium seat covers. It also has 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, electrically adjustable ORVMs and keyless entry. It is also equipped with dual airbags and ABS as standard.
The company discontinued the diesel Ignis earlier this year. So, the car is only available with 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 83hp and 113Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
It is worth to note that Ignis is Maruti’s lowest selling model after the Gypsy. So, the company wants to boost the sales this festive season by offering more equipment on the model.
