Maruti Suzuki Launches S-Cross Facelift At Rs 8.49 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki has launched its new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Facelift in India. The price of this car starts from Rs. 8.49 lakh. S-Cross Facelift will be available in four variants- Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.

As the company has added mild-hybrid (SHVS) tech on the 1.3-litre diesel engine, the price of base version has gone up by Rs. 43000. Even if the Engine is same, the new tech has helped the company to improve the car’s mileage by 7 percent. The increment in fuel efficiency was obtained even if there is a 35kg increase in weight.

The S-Cross Facelift will continue to be available from Maruti’s premium dealership chain – Nexa. It comes in Nexa Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Caffeine Brown, Premium Silver, and Granite Grey color options.

The new S-Cross Facelift has a 1.3-litre diesel engine with Smart Hybrid from Suzuki (SHVS) technology. It includes idle-stop start, torque assist, brake energy regeneration system and a gearshift indicator. The engine delivers 89 bhp power and 200 Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties will be handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox

The face of the car has been reworked. It now looks more catchy with wide chrome front grille and a pair of restyled headlamps. It has a new beefier front bumper, wider air dam, and restyled fog lamps. The car is also 20 mm wider and height has increased by 5mm. It also features a sportier set of alloy wheels and redesigned ORVMs.

The company has also worked a lot on interiors. It comes with a redesigned dashboard, new upholstery, and a new touchscreen system. The car supports Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto. It also offers dual airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard across variants. It also gets rear parking sensors and rear camera.

With this new Facelift Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, now S-Cross has become the most expensive Maruti Suzuki car in India. It will compete with Renault Duster and Hyundai Creta.
