At the onset of commemorating 10 years of the FZ series in India, Yamaha India has launched the new 2018 Yamaha FZS FI. The company has added a rear disc brake in this model to improve braking performance. It has been priced at Rs 86,042 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
There is also a model with a 220mm rear disc brake and it will cost Rs 3,000 more than the standard variant. It also has new sportier alloy wheels and rearview mirrors.
Apart from the rear disc brake, there is no other change in this model. 2018 Yamaha FZS FI comes with 149cc 1 cylinder engine and 55-speed Manual transmission. It produces maximum power of 13 bhp @ 8,000 rpm and Peak Torque is 12.80 Nm @ 6,000 rpm.
It has an air-cooled engine based on the company’s Blue Core technology. This technology claims to provide the engine with an increasing combustion efficiency, better cooling, and reduced power loss. So, the bike offers optimum performance and enhanced fuel economy.
It continues with the same 282mm front disc brake, 41mm front forks, and rear mono shock suspension. As there is no change in the specifications, the milage remains the same and it promises maximum mileage of 50 KMPL.
