Piaggio has launched the Vespa range for 2019 in India, along with the updated version of the Aprilia SR 150. The new range of Vespa has been launched at a starting Price of Rs. 91,140 for the VXL 150 and goes upto 97,276 for the top-end SXL variant (ex-showroom, Pune). the new Vespa 150 range gets a host of cosmetic and features update. The scooters will be available in new attractive colour options including – Matt Rosso Dragon, Matt Yellow and Azzuro Provenza. It also gets new machine cut alloy periphery wheels. Piaggio also showcased the new all black limited-edition Vespa Notte which is powered by a 125 cc engine and already gone on sale in India. It is available at Rs. 68,829 (ex-showroom Pune).

The Piaggio has also introduced a new connectivity feature, assisted by a mobile application for both Vespa and Aprilia scooters. The new mobile app will be available for both Android and iOS users and comes with features including find my vehicle function, distress button and you can also find nearby petrol pumps and service centres. The company says that the app will get regular updates.

The range of Vespa scooters is powered by a 150 cc single-cylinder engine which generates max power of 11.4 bhp at 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 11.5 Nm at 5500 rpm. The engines are mated with an automatic transmission. The Vespa Notte is powered by a 125 cc, air-cooled engine which generates max power of 10 bhp and a peak torque of 10.6 Nm mated to a CVT transmission.
