Royal Enfield has introduced a new special edition version in the Classic series. The company calls it Royal Enfield Classic 350 Signals Edition and it comes at Rs. 1.62 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).
This motorbike celebrates company’s 65-year-old association with the Indian Armed Forces. The Classic Signals 350 comes in two color options: Airborne Blue and Stormrider Sand. Both the colors are inspired from the coveted units of the Indian armed forces.
Royal Enfield has also introduced dual-channel ABS to prevent wheel locking under panic braking situations and to offer better braking efficiency.
The motorbike comes with 346cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 19bhp and 28Nm of torque. It is also mate to 5-speed gearbox. It also comes with 35 mm telescopic front forks and gas-charged twin shock absorbers at the rear. The braking performance comes from a single disc at the front and at the rear as well.
The company has also introduced a range of accessories for the new Signals Edition that includes the flyscreen, panniers and pannier racks on the motorcycle (pictured above). There will also be apparel, helmets, riding boots and jackets themed after the Signals edition.
This motorcycle competes against the UM Renegade Commando Classic (Rs 2.03 lakh) and the Bajaj Dominar 400 (Rs 1.62 lakh). Only Dominar comes with a dual-channel ABS.
