Royal Enfield has launched Royal Enfield Himalayan ABS in India. This motorbike is priced at Rs. 1.79 lakhs, Rs 11,000 costlier than the normal model. The Himalayan Sleet ABS variant has been priced at Rs 1.80 lakh.
Both variants get dual-channel ABS unit. It has ABS sticker on the suspension and an ABS light on the console.
All other things remain unchanged. The Royal Enfield Himalayan ABS is still powered by 411cc single-cylinder fuel-injection that produces 24.8bhp and 32Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed transmission with a wet, multi-plate clutch
Currently, Royal Enfield Himalayan ABS is the most affordable dual-purpose bike in the Indian market.
Last week Royal Enfield launched their first ABS equipped motorcycles Classic Signals 350 in India. During the launch, The company announced that it will be equipping its entire range with dual-channel ABS by end of the year. They have already started doing the same starting with Himalayan ABS. Sales of Himalayan have already increased after the company introduced BS-IV-compliant variant. ABS is also expected to help in getting more sales.
Royal Enfield will next launch Thunderbird X ABS, but we have no confirmed date for that. They will also launch 650 Twins with ABS in November and other models will also get the ABS by the end of this year.
