Today, Skoda launched Rapid Matte Limited Edition in the country starting at Rs. 11.99 lakh (Ex-showroom). The automatic variant starts at Rs. 13.49 lakh. The company will sell only 400 units of this limited-run model. The Rapid Matte Concept was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo.

The all-new Rapid Matte Edition comes in an exclusive Carbon Steel Matte color theme and Tellur Grey interior color. The radiator grille and spoiler are finished in gloss black.

Inside the cabin it also gets the same treatment as exterior. The cabin of the car has dual-tone tellur grey with black leatherette and Alcantara inserts. It looks really beautiful. The company has also added some features like USB air-purifier, stainless steel scuff plates, and high visibility performance bulbs.

The car has dual airbags and an anti-lock braking system (ABS) parktronic rear parking sensors, auto-dimming inner rearview mirror, rear windscreen defogger with timer, height adjustable three-point seatbelts at the front, rough road package, and engine immobilizer. It also features a 6.5-inch infotainment screen supporting Apple Carplay and Android Auto support.

This limited edition model has the same mechanicals that is in the standard model. Updates are limited to the body color and a few features only. The car is powered by a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged TSI petrol motor which generates 108 bhp power at 5000 – 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 175 Nm at 1750 rpm – 4000 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. The option of automatic transmission with a six-speed torque is also available. It incorporates motor insurance, 24×7 roadside assistance, and an extended warranty.
