Tata Motors has finally launched the all-new Micro SUV Tata Punch in the Indian market today. Tata Motors is yet to announce the price of the all-new Punch. The deliveries are expected later this month. Tata Motors has already shipped the new cars to most of the dealerships across India. Customers can book the car with the token amount is Rs 21,000. Tata has marketed Tata Punch as India’s first-ever Micro SUV based on the HBX concept.

Tata Punch is more compact than the Tata Nexon and Tata Altroz. With the high ground clearance and sporty look, Punch is setting a new Indian Car Trend.

In the past few years, Indian car buyers have shifted from sedans and small hatchbacks to SUVs and Mini Suvs. This shift in trend is because High ground clearance on bumpy and uneven Indian roads makes it easier to drive and the Punch is trying to fill the gap.

The five main features that an Indian car buyer wants are Good Mileage, High Ground Clearance, Sporty Looks, Eye-Catching features, and all of these at a very attractive price. Tata has very well understood this and is releasing cars in the market that cater to all these needs. The Tata Punch is no different in these aspects.

Design

Tata has marketed the all-new Tata punch as India’s first Micro SUV. Tata punch has high ground clearance, a lot of space, and a strong stance. It has Tatas ‘humanity grille’ and split headlights like the Tata Harrier. Punch offers dual-tone variants.

The whole body gets a black cladding and even the front and rear bumpers are in black color that adds a rugged look. On the sides, the Punch gets thick plastic cladding as well. The rear door handle is near the windows like the Tata Altroz. The taillights are small and horizontal y shaped with strong black body cladding.

Tata offers the Tata Punch in Petrol only. It is powered by a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine comes in Tata Tiago and Tata Altroz as well. that generates a maximum power of 86 PS and a peak torque of 113 Nm. Tata offers a manual and an AMT automatic transmission as well.

 Features

The all-new Punch comes with a dashboard that looks similar to the Tata Altroz. It gets a dual-tone theme with black and white as primary colors. It also comes with a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a flat-bottom steering wheel with multi-functional buttons, an automatic climate control system, a push-button engine start/stop, fabric upholstery, and many other different features.
