TVS has launched its new 125 cc bike TVS Raider on 16th September 2021. The TVS raider is a much-awaited bike as TVS announced that it would launch a 125 cc bike earlier this year. For the past few months, assumptions about the specifications and features of the bike were predicted. There were rumors that the bike would be Fiero 125. But TVS surprised everyone by launching the most feature-loaded and handsome bike in its segment.

Design

The TVS Raider is a premium 125cc bike rather than an entry-level 125cc bike. It has an uplifted strong fuel tank that gives it sporty look. The headlamps have unique handsome LED Drls that certainly catch attention on the road and increase the presence of the bike. The taillamps also add to the sportiness of the bike.

Furthermore, its low seating position of 780 makes it a more ergonomic bike. The handle is a little low. In addition, the footrests are a little backward. So, this puts you in a very sporty position while driving. The seat is very long and comfortable. Hence, long drives won’t be tough on this bike.

Features

TVS Raider offers one the highest features in its segment. It also gets first-in-class features. It offers a reverse LCD digital speedometer which offers a lot of different features such as voice command etc. TVS Raider gets two drive modes – Power and Eco. The power mode gives the on paper engine specifications while the eco made decreases performance by 3% and increases fuel efficiency by 3%. In eco mode, the engine also stops while on neutral to save fuel. TVS raider comes with one USB port to charge your phone, Bluetooth, intelliGO, Engine inhibitor, Helmet reminder, Side-stand engine cut-off, and SMARTXONNECT to connect your phone with the bike.

Engine

The All-New TVS Raider comes with a 124.8 cc single cylinder 3 -valve naturally aspirated engine with electronic fuel injection. Consequently, it is the most powerful engine in this segment with a power of 11.38PS @7500 rpm and torque of 11.2 Nm @ 6000 rpm. It does 0-60 in 5.9 seconds and claims a top speed of 99kmph. It gives a mileage of 67kmpl.

Driving

The driving experience is wholesome with a few vibrations here and there. TVS raider has soft suspensions. Hence, it is good on any kind of bumpy road. It has good and sharp turning as the bike is made sporty.

Pricing

TVF raider comes in two models – front disc brakes and front drum brakes. 

The entry-level price is ₹ 77,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The main competition for TVS Raider is- Pulsar NS125, Honda SP125, Honda CB200X, Hero Glamour.
