2019 Nissan Kicks Launched In India At starting Price of Rs. 9.55 Lakh

Nissan India has launched its all-new compact SUV the 2019 Nissan Kicks in India. The new Kicks has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 9.55 lakh for the base XL petrol variant and the prices go up to Rs. 14.65 lakh for top end diesel variant. Globally the new Kicks manufactured on the platform of Micra but for India, it has been build on the platform of the Renault Duster’s M0 with few updates. The new Kicks is designed with sharp edges and upright styling with edgy lines. The grill is broad and V-shaped, and sporty headlamps give a stylish appearance. The compact SUV is built with the contrast roof and sleek body. The 17-inch alloys and ground clearance of 210 mm make the SUV friendly to rough surfaces. The all-new SUV can be booked for Rs. 25,000 at any Nissan dealership.

The new Kicks comes with a bunch of features including LED projector headlamps, which light up the roads very well in the dark. The corners of the fog lamp up front light up and headlamps are automatic. The cabin is decorated with leather upholstery. The cabin is equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers smartphone integration in the form of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car comes with auto climate control on offer along with cruise control. The SUV comes with the safety features including 4 airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill start assist and a first-in-segment 360-degree camera view

The new Kicks has a length of 4,384 mm, a width of 1,813 mm, a height of 1,651 mm and a wheelbase is 2,673 mm while the biggest rival Creta has a length of 4,270 mm, a width of 1,780 mm, a height of 1,665 mm and the wheelbase on the Creta is 2,590 mm. The 400 liters boot space is also good.

The Nissan Kicks is powered by 1.5-liter petrol and 1.5-liter K9K diesel engines same as the Duster. The petrol engine generates a max power of 104 bhp and peak torque of 142-newton meters while the diesel engine generates a max power of 108 bhp and a peak torque 240-newton meters. The petrol engine is mated with a 5-speed gearbox while the diesel gets a 6-speed unit. There are no automatic options as of now.

The Nissan Kicks can give a high competition to the Hyundai Creta and potentially consider to be more successful than the Captur. It is definitely a good-looking SUV with a decent list of premium features.
