Renault Triber Launched In India At Starting Price Of Rs. 4.95 Lakh

Today Renault launched its much-awaited MPV Renault Triber in India. The Triber has been launched at Starting price of Rs. 4.95 lakh which goes up to 6.49 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, India). The all-new MPV comes in 4 variants, RXE, RXL, RXT, RXZ. The Triber is a MPV based on a modified version of CMF-A platform. We have already seen this platform in Kwid but the company claims that they have upgraded it with as much as 90 percent new components in a bid to make it more spacious and refined. The Triber provides an alternative for customers who want a more versatile product at the price of a hatchback.

The Triber is a seven-seater MPV in which detachable mechanism used for the last row seats. The detachable mechanism allows you to remove last row seats to remove completely and make way for more luggage. There are two separate seats in the last row which you can remove one when six are on board or both seats when fewer people are traveling. The boot space is limited to 84 liters when all seats are in use while it can be expanded to 625 liters.

Inside the cabin, the Triber gets fewer buttons and switches. The dual-tone interiors come in beige and grey colors finish. The dashboard comes with a symmetrical design and features trapezoidal air-con vents. The black and beige seat upholstery match with the cabin and second and third-row get separate air-con vents. The second row can also be adjusted and reclined to make space for passengers in the last row.

The Triber is powered by the same, Kwid sourced, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engine which generates a max power of 71 bhp and a peak torque of 96 Nm. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard and tips the scale at 947 kg. The MPV will compete with rival Datsun Go+. it will also stacks up against the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the recently launched Hyundai Grand i10 Nios as well.

The all-new Triber is equipped with a class-leading 8-inch infotainment system which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Triber is also comes with a bunch of features including a push-button start, USB charging at the front, 12V charges for second and third-row passengers, reverse camera, cooled glove box, climate control, separate air-con control for rear passengers and keyless entry. If we talk about safety feature, it gets four airbags, three-point seatbelts for all three rows, the mandatory speed alert system, rear parking sensors and seatbelt reminder which helps it to comply with the new safety norms.
