2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Launched In India at Starting Price of Rs. 6.35 Lakh

2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been launched in India at starting price of Rs. 6.35 lakh for the base variant Sigma. The prices go up to Rs. 9.49 lakh for the top-end Alpha automatic variant. Compared to its predecessor the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno is extensively upgraded but the platform and powertrain remain the same. The car now comes with redesigned front end making it look more contemporary than before. The rear also looks refreshed and appealing.

The major design and dimensions of the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno remain unchanged. it comes with a new bumper along with a wider and slimmer grille. A new chrome garnish grille is decorated that extends to the angular LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. The shoulder line is revised and it does look more contemporary than before. The wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators and chrome door handles have been carried over from its predecessor along with the 16-inch alloy wheels.

Few things have been updated in the new Baleno new model. Tech has been one of the major focus areas in the making of this new premium hatchback. The cabin layout has been revised and the biggest highlight is the new dashboard sporting a bigger and more advanced 9-inch Smartplay Pro standalone touchscreen unit that takes center stage. It comes with an all-new interface featuring much sharper and crisper graphics. The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will also come with 40 connected car features along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is also expected with Maruti to offer an in-built navigation system in the new SmartPlay Pro Plus.

The list of features includes wireless charging, Alexa assistance, a head-up display, a new sound system with ARKAMYS tuning, and a 360-view camera view among others. The car now comes with six airbags on the inside adding to its safety features and now the rear AC vents are also added.

Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno right now comes with a 1.2-liter VVT motor which is mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard while a five-speed AMT unit is optional. The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will rival the likes of the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, and Volkswagen Polo.
