Honda has also brought the 10th generation of the Honda Civic at the Auto Expo 2018. This car was unveiled in September 2015 and went on sale in overseas markets since 2016. Indian market is still waiting to get this car. It is expected to come in India early next year.
The 10th generation Honda Civic is based on Honda’s global compact platform that is also used on 2018 Accord and the fifth-gen CR-V. Both these cars are also at the Auto Expo. The new Civic comes with fastback design having a steeply raked roofline.
The Carr is now wider but height is less than the previous model. Wheelbase and length are the same.
The car will be sold with a diesel engine – a 1.6 liter i-DTEC engine. It offers about 120 Bhp-300 Nm and is known for its high fuel efficiency. There could also be an option of 1.8 liter i-VTEC petrol model offering 140 Bhp. The petrol model will come with 6 speed manual and automatic transmission options but the diesel engine will only come in manual 6 speed gearbox.
